My passion for behavioral health billing started with a deeply personal challenge – my son’s autism diagnosis.

Navigating the complex world of healthcare billing for his treatment opened my eyes to the profound struggles families face.

It was a journey filled with confusion, frustration, and the overwhelming feeling that we were fighting an uphill battle.

This personal experience ignited a passion in me to help those who help others in their emotional challenges, to solve the greatest bottlenecks.

Whether it’s the frustration of denied claims, the stress of slow reimbursements, or the anxiety of juggling endless paperwork, the weight of these issues can be heavy, making it hard to focus on what truly matters; That is PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL CARE TO YOUR CLIENTS.

It’s the late nights spent on paperwork, the worry over cash flow, and the fear that your hardwork might not be compensated fairly.

Together, we can create a system that supports your mission, ensuring you have the resources and time to focus on providing top-notch care to your clients.

Through my specialized consulting and billing services, I’m dedicated to streamlining your billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and speeding up reimbursements.

I want you to feel the relief of knowing your finances are in order, allowing you to redirect your energy back to your passion—helping those in need.

Imagine the peace of mind that comes with a streamlined billing system, where you spend less time on paperwork and more time on what you love.

With a financial process that not only works smoothly but also enhances your organization’s stability and growth inplace.

Professional Experiences

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Amy has been responsible for managing the implementation of large scale projects across different organizations.

While with the ADAMH Board of Franklin County, she led the project management for the implementation of the new performance management system utilized by Human Resources and a new payroll system utilized by the Finance team.

She has managed implementation of an upgraded EHR system for Maryhaven one of the oldest and largest behavioral health facilities in Columbus, Ohio.

REVENUE CYCLE REVIEW

Amy is able to leverage her expertise working with various funders to thoroughly review your revenue cycle and provide recommendations.

The revenue cycle begins with the onboarding process for new providers and each of the steps along the revenue cycle builds upon the next.

If one step is not completed accurately this could result in rejected or denied claims and financial losses .

One mechanism to increase capacity is the implementation and education of policies and procedures that capture the unique and often complicated expectations of multiple funding streams.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND COLLABORATION

Amy has been fortunate to develop meaningful relationships with thought leaders at the local and state level of the behavioral health field.

She is able to connect you to the appropriate contacts to further the awareness of behavioral health and quality access to care for all Ohioans.

STRATEGIC PLANNING AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

During her time as Manager of the Behavioral Health team at Caresource, the largest and oldest managed care company in Ohio, Amy was responsible for creating and operationalizing the strategic plan for the Ohio Behavioral Health Team.

This work consisted of a detailed survey of all key stakeholders, a mission statement creation session, SWOT analysis and strategic planning retreat.

The behavioral health team was able to achieve 95% of the strategic goals created the first year and captured valuable metrics to report and utilize for future planning.
